Abstract

Mycobacterium abscessus complex is a group of rapidly growing, multidrug-resistant nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) species causing serious respiratory and skin and soft tissue infections
(SSTIs), yet often underdiagnosed and forgotten. We report the first case of Mycobacterium abscessus
SSTIs in the National hospital of Dermatology and Venereology that we confirmed the pathology to
underline the urgent concerns about this dangerous pathogen.
